These conferences can provide opportunities to network, learn new techniques, and discuss story ideas with fellow data journalists.

The Centre for Investigative Journalism Summer Conference includes sessions on data journalism from leading practitioners.

Data Harvest is held in conjunction with the European Investigative Journalism Conference. The next one is scheduled for 19-22 May 2022 in Mechelen, Belgium.

European Data and Computational Journalism Conference brings together industry, practitioners and academics.

The International Journalism Festival in Perugia, Italy, includes a School of Data Journalism.

Investigative Reporters and Editors annual conference includes sessions focused on data journalism for investigative reporting.

NICAR, a project of Investigative Reporters and Editors, hosts the original annual conference on data journalism as well as periodic training sessions. NICAR also has a listserv, NICAR-L for getting tips from other journalists. It also has a Spanish version.

NODA, the Nordic Data Journalism conference features the best of Nordic data journalism, storytelling and visualizations as well as annual awards. NODA also has a Facebook group.
