GIJN Webinar: Advanced Online Digging with Paul Myers
Editor’s note: This webinar has now taken place and was not recorded. Other sessions from GIJN’s webinar series are available on YouTube.
Digging up information online and staying on top of the latest research tools are a must for investigative journalists, particularly as the pandemic still restricts work in the field in much of the world.
GIJN is pleased to announce the second of two free webinars with Paul Myers focused on Asia. The webinars are open to journalists everywhere, but aimed especially at those in East and Southeast Asia. Myers will guide attendees through search engine caches, date range searches, and archives for effective online time traveling. The webinar will be two hours long, with a 10-minute break in the middle.
One of GIJN’s most popular trainers, Paul Myers has worked for the BBC at the sharp end of online research for over 25 years, pioneering online research techniques that are now commonplace in the media. He runs the researchclinic.net website and is constantly at work devising new investigative strategies for the changing digital landscape.
