Sarah Ulrich is GIJN’s German-language editor, overseeing GIJN Deutsch in cooperation with Netzwerk Recherche. She also works as an investigative reporter. Her work focuses on abuses of power, (labor) exploitation, right-wing and gender-based violence.
Ulrich holds a master’s degree in Social Theory and was recognized in German Medium Magazin’s Top 30 Journalists under 30 list. She is a fellow of the International Journalists’ Programmes (IJP) Latin America, Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung, and the German Institute for Human Rights. For her investigation on press freedom, she was awarded the 1st Prize by BJV.
Her work was published in taz. die tageszeitung, ZDF, ARD, Der Spiegel, Deutschlandfunk Kultur, Zeit Online, among others. She regularly moderates panel discussions, curates cultural events, and hosted a feminist podcast for taz. die tageszeitung.
