Maxime Domegni is an award-winning journalist with years of experience in investigative journalism. In the last ten years, he has worked, among others, as editor-in-chief of the Togolese investigative newspaper L’Alternative. He has also collaborated with different media organisations, notably with the Swiss-based Fondation Hirondelle as West African Correspondent for the justiceinfo.net website; and with the Dutch organisation RNW Media on the French version of the “This is Africa” website. He was based in Dakar, Senegal for several years, working for BBC Africa as a journalist and planning producer for French-speaking Africa.
Maxime is also a member of several investigative journalism organisations, including the Cell Norbert Zongo Unit of Investigative Journalism in West Africa (CENOZO), the African Investigative Publishing Collective (AIPC) and the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ).

Maxime Domegni est un journaliste togolais avec des années d’expérience récompensées par des distinctions en journalisme d’investigation. Ces dix dernières années, il a travaillé entre autres comme rédacteur en chef du journal d’investigation togolais L’Alternative. Maxime Domegni est aussi membre de plusieurs organisations de journalisme d’investigation à l’instar de la Cellule Norbert Zongo du journalisme d’investigation en Afrique de l’Ouest (CENOZO), l’African Investigative Publishing Collective (AIPC) et l’International Consortium of Investigative Journalism (AIPC). Il a rejoint la GIJN comme responsable de l’Afrique Francophone.
