Global Open Data Index Asks for Input on Datasets

Open Knowledge's Global Open Data Index is asking for public input on what datasets should be included in its annual survey. The index measures the relative openness of governments around the world, and has become a valuable barometer on who is serious about making useful data publicly available.

Global Database of Transparency Groups

The Sunlight Foundation has created a database of civil society organizations working on transparency and open data issues around the world. As explained by Júlia Keresu, Sunlight's International Program Coordinator, in addition to locating the organizations, they "tried to filter information about relevant actors by area of operation, issues covered and the actual approach."
