Serbian Center Wins Euro Press Prize

Drawing on a record number of entries, judges for the European Press Prize focused on national stories in their selection, awarding the top investigative slot to GIJN member Serbian Center for Investigative Journalism (CINS) for its exposes of corruption. Runners-up were an expose by Rata Mariana in Moldova of official involvement in the trade of Moldovan-manufactured anabolic steroids worldwide, and a Ekstra Bladet team in Denmark revealing how right-wing movements abused the EU system of subsidies.
