Rappler: Open Source Intelligence Researcher
Rappler are seeking an experienced Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) Researcher to join their digital forensics team. This role plays a critical part in executing digital forensics and investigative research to uncover disinformation trends and provide actionable intelligence. You will work closely with editorial units, revenue teams, and brand partners to gather, analyze, and visualize complex datasets that support investigative journalism and revenue-generating data consultancy services.
You are a data-driven investigator with a passion for uncovering the truth within complex information ecosystems. You have a sharp eye for digital footprints and the analytical rigor to incorporate technical and business requirements into deep-dive research.
As a methodical researcher, you know exactly when and why to use specific OSINT tools, always approaching a problem with a clear research goal as your driving factor. You are as comfortable diving into raw datasets and coordinating with institutional sources as you are translating findings for non-technical stakeholders.
