Index Investigation: Deputy Director
Index is an independent investigative NGO founded in 2020, specializing in open-source intelligence (OSINT), audiovisual analysis, and 3D reconstruction. Its work focuses primarily on police violence and human rights violations in France. A member of the Investigative Commons network and affiliated with Forensic Architecture, Index has covered major cases of police violence over the past decade and produced investigations recognized for their methodological rigor.
The Deputy Director is responsible for the operational management of Index. This is a cross-functional role with a strong focus on development. The successful candidate will manage the day-to-day operations of the organization and become the primary driver of its resource growth.
This recruitment is strategic: it will allow the Managing Director to refocus on editorial direction, survey production, and research, by entrusting operational management, resource development, and communication to a trusted individual.
