Global Witness: Strategic Communications Officer
As Strategic Communications Officer, you’ll help turn Global Witness’s investigations, campaigns and expertise into compelling stories that cut through and make an impact. Working closely with colleagues across the organisation, you’ll support proactive and reactive media work across a wide range of issues – from developing strong story angles and drafting press materials, to pitching to journalists, supporting spokespeople and responding to breaking news.
This is a hands-on role where you’ll have real responsibility and the opportunity to see your work contribute directly to Global Witness’s campaigning and organisational goals.
You’ll help shape media plans, identify opportunities in the news agenda, build relationships with journalists and support the day-to-day running of our press office. You’ll also play an important role in helping us learn from and improve our media work, ensuring our communications are timely, strategic and reach the audiences who can help create change.
