Cora Moyano was trained as an industrial engineer. She is a graduate of Rosario National University, Argentina, and brings a background in mathematics, physics and statistics, human resources management, labor regulations, accounting and administration. For three years she ran plant operations for Casa Reymundo, a family company based in Rosario, Argentina, with over 80 years in the glass business servicing the architectural, construction and furniture industries. In 2014, she moved to Hungary and received an MA in international economics and business at Corvinus University. She joined GIJN in 2016, and in 2021, she earned a certificate of completion from the Nonprofit Financial Stewardship Program of the  Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.
