IREX: Program Officer, Information and Media Practice

  • Support staff in all aspects of program implementation to ensure timely and accurate completion of deliverables.
  • Coordinate project activities, ensuring alignment with project goals and objectives, as well as they are carried out efficiently and effectively.
  • Support the selection, implementation, and monitoring of media innovation projects, including grants, pilot programs, and partnerships.
  • Help gather, organize, and analyze relevant data to inform decision-making and project evaluation.
  • Identify and prioritize key innovation areas such as digital media transformation, media literacy, and community-driven journalism.
  • Assist in identifying resources, both human and material, required for project execution.
  • Compile information for and draft and edit complex documents, including periodic program reports, briefs, evaluations, etc.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including media organizations, policymakers, international donors, and civil society groups.
  • Contribute to project monitoring and evaluation and analyze results to inform project implementation and reporting.
  • Develop clear goals, objectives, and measurable indicators to evaluate program success.
  • Track all Media Innovation grants payments and administrative implementation
  • Track Media Innovation consultants, deliverables, time sheets and payments.
  • Maintain familiarity with contract requirements and monitor compliance, deliverables, and deadlines.
  • Provide occasional translation of documents to and from English and Serbian, as requested;
  • Facilitate panel discussion at the events, as required, and
  • Support general office operations and conduct other programmatic and administrative duties as needed.
  • Organize and facilitate meetings, events, workshops, and training sessions as needed in coordination with technical experts, Mediji.Inovacije clients, and other media development actors.
  • Provide ongoing technical assistance to program beneficiaries in adopting new media tools and strategies.
  • Regularly communicate program successes, lessons learned, and challenges through reports, presentations, and other communication tools.
  • Contribute to the creation of content (articles, social media posts) that highlights the outcomes of the program and showcases successful media innovations in Serbia.
  • Collaborate with the Program Manager to develop project plans, timelines, and milestones.
  • Support the Program Manager in developing data-driven insights for continuous improvement.
  • Support the Program Manager in risk management and mitigation efforts.
  • Other duties as assigned.
