Event – Crossing the 49th: Investigative reporting on both sides of the border

Crossing the 49th is a unique investigative journalism conference co-hosted by the Canadian Association of Journalists Educational Foundation and the U.S.-based Investigative Reporters and Editors.

It will take place in Toronto Nov. 5 – 6 at Ryerson University in Toronto.

The sessions will bring together leading journalists from both sides of the border on issues including confidential sources, open records laws, investigative interviewing techniques and computer-assisted reporting. Sessions will also delve into resources and tips for cross-border issues such as terrorism and the environment.
